Maybe it's the time of year.
Maybe it's because I'm realizing I've reached a quarter of a century in age.
Maybe it's because my husband is out of town [uh-gain] and I have nothing better to do than think these little random thoughts in this ol' noggin of mine.
Either way, as I sit here thinking about my life and all that has been going on lately, I can't help but think about how the times have changed.
My my my...how the times have changed.
Where I used to be known to bump Nelly and Big Moe on my commutes, my morning routine now consists of the sweet, sexy (did I say seksy?!) sounds of Michael Buble.
Instead of cussing out some chick for looking at me the wrong way, I found myself dropping F bombs towards my insurance agent today. Sorryimnotsorry.
Rather than spending all day thinking about what bar I'll be hitting up this Thursday night, I've already made arrangements with the treadmill and a weight bench.
While most girls get excited about the newest outfit they've just scored, I get excited about receiving 12 Christmas cards in the mail in just one day.
Instead of taking an all girl's trip to Vegas for the weekend while Beau is out of town hunting for the umpteenth time this year, I'd prefer to spend it out in the country, in a city I couldn't even find on a map, with 3 of my closest sorority sisters and their babies chattin' around the campfire and passing out before midnight.
The last thing that made me cry wasn't a spat I had with my husband. It was the card I opened last night asking me to be the Godmother of my sorority sister's youngest bambino, Magnolia.
And the thing that thrills me the most about this time of year is not the gifts. It's finally waking up next to my husband, in our house, drinking our coffee, seeing our stockings hanging and starting our very own traditions.
While all these things might not be perfect for every other girl out there, they seem to be working out just fine for me right now.
And when I sit back and think about it...I wouldn't want it any other way.
So we might as well embrace change. It's inevitable.
Change is good.
Change is good.
And since I know you're all dying to see this sweet Goddaughter of mine...
Tell me that's not the face of an angel 0:)
(hers...not mine...)
I hope you all have a blessed day & a very Merry Christmas.
