Hump Day || Bump Day - 30 Weeks

How far along: 30 weeks. As in...three-oh!

Baby's size: A cabbage! After our appointment this week, baby girl is weighing in at 3 pounds 5 ounces!

Baby's progress: Baby is still filling out and her skin is smoothing out. Also to note...she has enough strength to grip a finger, which makes total sense because the other day I got a really weird pain/feeling right behind my belly button and as it turns out, she was pulling on the umbilical cord. Cool but not a cool feeling...

Weight gain: 19 pounds total. No weight gain between my last two appointments and after I devoured an entire Chipotle burrito, which I haven't done since college, I'd consider this a win. I was SHOCKED that the scale didn't tip at least another 3 pounds... To note: that burrito was damn good! Every last bite.

Stretch marks: Besides the little one that keeps popping up every once in a while on my ta-ta, I haven't seen any others but I am constantly searching for them.

Sleep: If I could sleep more than 2 hours without having to get up and go pee, life would be great. God's little lesson of what's to come...I can only imagine...

Gender: Andddd she's still a girl!

Movement: Oh ya! I know I've said this before but this is probably my favorite thing about being pregnant. I feel like you wait SO long to feel that first little poke or nudge and now that she's taking up more and more room, the movement is more prominent than ever. Also, since I now know how she's situated in there, it's really cool to be able to know that her legs are what poke me right under my belly button, her elbow right along my right side and her back/butt along my left side. Apparently she's already head down and is kind of in the shape of a "C" if that makes any sense?!

Best moment this week: The best moment this week has got to be our shower we had this past weekend. There's just something about having all of your best girlfriends and family in one place that warms your heart. Oh-and the gifts help, too, of course! ;)

Other moments to note...
  • Finding a mailbox stuffed to the max with sweet monogrammed baby duds! My girl Shaina at SKCreations has got it going ON when it comes to monogrammed gowns, burp clothes, bibs, outfits, baby koozies, and, well everything else you can imagine! She can literally do ANYTHING, too! I've got my eye on these pretties next! (I mean...that baby blanket!!) And I don't know where on earth she finds the materials she uses but it is the softest stuff known to mankind!

  • The car seat and stroller being gifted to us at our shower and showing up at our doorstep last night! (We may or may not have strapped in a stuffed animal and "practiced" walking around the house last night...)
  • Our 30-week appointment. Never did I EVER think I'd say that going to the doctor was the highlight of my week but every chance we get to see our little lady on the ultrasound screen instantly makes my day.
Looking forward to: Un-baby related but I am genuinely looking forward to a nice, relaxing 4-day weekend with absolutely no plans. For the first time in years, we aren't going to the Frio for the Fourth of July and though I LOVE that place like it's my own home, I just really have no desire to be the only sober chick on the river. Plus, a 4-hour car ride with a 20 minute max on my bladder would easily make the trip 5+ hours. No thanks.

Food cravings: The one TRUE craving I had this week was that Chipotle burrito I mentioned earlier. Either that or I'm a billboard marketer's dream come true because I saw the billboard and it's like my car set itself on autopilot to get me there. Typically I go for the salad or a burrito bowl but because the billboard was advertising a burrito, it was obvious that's what I had to get. Duh. I got the whole enchilada...literally...and devoured it in 6 minutes. And yes, I timed it.

Weirdest food I ate this week: Nothing weird this week!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing necessarily making me sick but last night I was so exhausted after work I just felt nauseous. Clearly that called for an hour-long nap on the couch followed by a bowl of Fruit Loops. Isn't that the cure for everything when you're pregnant??

Labor signs: Nothing as of now!

Symptoms: SI (sacroiliac) FREAKING JOINT PAIN. Oh my-lanta. I never knew pregnancy symptoms changed daily but boy was I wrong! The pain I was feeling in my pelvis has now shifted to my back/butt/upper leg and it HURTS like a mofo. Basically anytime I'm walking, there's a slight limp going on. Or maybe it's the start of the infamous "pregnancy waddle". Either way, I'm okay with this one going away ASAP. Also, and I was totally expecting this one, but I've noticed I feel a little congested at random times. Apparently your body produces more mucus during pregnancy, which makes your nose feel stuffy at times. Weird? Yes. But totally manageable.

Workouts: I can officially say, thanks to the SI pain I have not worked out once this week. I've gone on a few walks with Beau and Oakley but at the end of the day, my back/butt/leg hurt so bad it's all I can do to limp to the bathroom.

What I miss: This week, I miss being able to stand up and walk without being in complete pain. And yes, this is me wanting you to feel sorry for me. ;)

Things that suck: Double chins. There. I said it.

Things that don't suck: Doing baby laundry. I've never been so motivated to wash, fold and hang clothes in my LIFE!

Also, palazzo pants definitely don't suck right now. And I thought yoga pants were where it was at...
I found these on clearance at my Target, but they sell other prints online here.

Oh! And be sure to stop by Katie's blog today and check out her very first bump date!! I remember being SO excited to post my first one so head on over there to see what baby Krysh is up to this week!

Ok that's all. Only 9ish more of these bump dates left...bare with me people!

  15. You look adorable...I do NOT see a double chin girl. Haha. My biggest pregnancy craving has been Chipotle and I eat it at least once a week. It's terrible, but so good every time. Haha.
