Howards Take On Hawaii: Days 1 & 2

Let me just start out by saying:

1. Prepare yourself...for picture overload...for the next 4-5 posts. Sorry kids, but I gotta keep everyone posted on our Hawaiian vacay so bare with me.

2. Jet lag has kicked in...full force...and so has the 5 hour time difference. My body wants to go to bed on Hawaii's clock, not Houston's, and therefore I'm workin' on less than 3 hours of sleep.

3. Forgive me...I don't remember the names of over half the places we went. Considering the Hawaiian alphabet only has 12 letters, everything looks/sounds the same. The lack of sleep is no help here either.

4. If you EVER get the opportunity to go to Hawaii-GO.

Anyways-on with the show!

Destination
Island: Oahu
City: Honolulu/Waikiki

DAY 1

12 hours of traveling, 2 glasses of wine, 1 shot of patron, and 1 mimosa later...
we were FINALLY there.
(I'll be real honest right now...that flight SUCKS.)
Iced AND lei'd at the same time?
Yes, please!

Classy, right?
Hostesses with the mostesses!
First stop: mai tais at the oldest tiki bar on the island! (exhibit A of my forgetfulness...)
Our view from Brian's condo.
Diamondhead in the back...
Waikiki Beach in the front...

Just a typical stroll down the beach...

Rosalyn and I at Rumfire
I'm so bad at that hand sign thing....(Call me?)
Beau found it appropriate to wear his leis all night long...
Of course we would end the night at the Waikiki Yardhouse...
Not even gonna lie-we crashed almost every night by 10pm so you already know night #1 was no exception.

DAY 2

Seeing that our bodies were 5 hours ahead of the time, we woke up at the crack-of-freaking-dawn to knock out the Honolulu Zoo! (Our coogs were playing that day which explains all the UH getup. By the looks of things, Beau clearly dressed himself this morning...)
All of the flowers in Hawaii are to. die. for.. I honestly think I was more intrigued by the the plants more than the animals. Weird?

Rosalyn and I were mesmerized by this guy.
You try standin' on one leg all day...

Who doesn't love giraffes?!
Tell me that isn't breathtaking?!
(...and by breathtaking I mean "freezing cold")

First time at Waikiki Beach!

Up next...the day the resulted in the unrememberable (is that a word?) meal, a baaaaad case of the hiccups and a $250 hotel bill...
