Hump Day || Bump Day - 13 Weeks

My jeans and I weren't getting along for this picture so pj pants, it is.

How far along? Well, according to my chalkboard and Baby Center app, I'm 13 weeks! (By now, 13 weeks and 3 days.)

Baby size: A widdle peach!

Weight gain: Still not sure on this one. I was too nervous to ask the doctor last week...

Maternity clothes: Negative. My normal clothes are definitely feeling a little snug, though, hence the fact that my jeans and are I currently in a feud.

Stretch marks: No and I pray they stay away. I've been slathering myself in Bio Oil every morning in hopes that it will work its little magic.

Sleep: Oh ya! Slept in 'til 10am this past Saturday, which hasn't happened in years! However, I've been waking up before my alarm clock on most weekdays, which is definitely not my idea of a good night's sleep but then again, it could be (and probably will get) much worse so I'll take all the sleep I can get these days.

Gender: I know your little genitals are formed by now, Baby H, and I am literally dying to know!! Pink or blue...pink or blue!

Movement: Besides a few gas bubbles here and there, no baby movement yet.

Best moment this week: Definitely the sigh of relief that came in the form of a phone call from my OB/GYN giving me confirmation that everything from the NT scans came back negative and everything is looking good! Talk about a nerve-wracking phone call...

Looking forward to: Getting my energy back. I don't want to jinx myself but I really do think I'm slowly but surely getting less and less exhausted. {fingers crossed} I stayed up until almost midnight on Friday night! I don't even know who I am anymore! ;) Also...finding out what we're having exactly one month from TODAY!!!

Food cravings: This week...still anything made with vinegar and all of a sudden...anything sour...green grapes, sour straws and the one, the only...Sour Patch Kids.

Weirdest food I ate this week: Besides another mayo and cheese sandy, I most definitely gulped pickle juice straight out of the jar. Yep. Didn't even want the pickles...just the juice. Because that's totally normal.

Anything making you queasy or sick: No. And thank goodness.

Labor signs: That's a big fat no. But honestly, I wouldn't even know what to feel for?

What I miss: Still wine. And vodka. And beer. Oh...and tuna. I miss being able to eat tuna. Might I add I also miss my motivation to do anything when I get home from work. That can DEFINITELY come back any day now!

Symptoms: Still a little tired but like I said, either it's a fluke or I'm getting over this tiredness hump. Oh-and so far, no headaches this week. Stay gone, headaches. Stay gone. And then of course, the usual...the urge to pee every 20 minutes. That one is still so weird to me. And highly obnoxious, might I add.

Workouts: Went once this week so far and mark my word...I WILL make it to the gym two more times before next week. Yo motivation...where you be?

Things that suck: Going to bars with friends and being served water. Nothing more, nothing less. And not being able to stay up late anymore, though, like I said, I am definitely thankful for all this sleep!

Things that don't suck: Eating Sour Patch Kids and having an extra helpful husband around the house lately (definitely loving that!).

Other than that, things in my little pregnancy bubble are moving along just swimmingly!

Also-I just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone who's been so kind and supportive lately! I really am so appreciative of all your sweet comments (here and on Instagram), tweets, emails and texts! Like I said before, I promise this isn't turning into a pregnancy blog, however, this is a lifestyle blog that's about my life and right now, it's consumed with sour patch kids and a growing little peach and I just can't help but want to talk/write about it at the moment! It's kind of like a new puppy...the newness will wear off...eventually. ;) xoxo

  1. I spoke those exact words -- this will not become a baby blog -- and welp, I'm pretty sure mine has, haha!! You blog about what's going on in your life, what's important to you and whomever you spend your days with... All of that comes back to my son. It's a slow spiral my friend.... :)

    1. HAHA ya I have a feeling I'll follow in your footsteps! You couldn't be more right...your blog is about what's going on in your life and, well, bar hopping and other stuff just isn't going on right now! :) Oh-and I love your posts about Baby Trace! <3 Keep 'em coming!

    2. Nothing is wrong with a mommy/baby blog. this is a blog about YOU, right? I am sure you will have other things but this is a blog to remember important things in your life..when you are 50 and you can look back on all these special moments (or have it printed out). I am so sad when people get mad about that, i love both y'alls blogs and loooove that they are about YOU and what is going on in YOUR life. boom. done. soapbox removed.

  2. so the pickle thing is true!??!?? Or is it?? I have never heard of anyone just drinking the juice, girl you are crazy! ;) ;P But such a cute prego ;) And like Kate said, who cares if this turns into a prego blog...it is your blog, write what you want, about what is important to you and your life. Babies or not. If Baby H takes over, then so be it....write what is on your heart. :)

    1. Thank you! It's so nice to know that if this does just so happen to turn into a pregnancy/baby blog that I'd still have a few fans! Though I really do have every intention to throw some other stuff in the mix, too! I just need my motivation and inspiration to come back lol.

As for the pickle thing...I never thought I'd be "that" girl, but it looks like I'm headed straight down that path! I mean, it's probably frowned upon to drink straight up vinegar and buffalo sauce so I'd like to think pickle juice is a little more sane (no?) I talked to a co-worker and she had the exact same cravings...it's weird I tell ya!

  4. In my first...I bought a new jar of pickles at least twice a week. My husband would come home and be like...another one?!!? haha. Loved me some pickles!!! And I drink the juice even while not pregnant. I would totally be ok with your blog becoming a baby blog...I LOVE BABIES :)

I was pregnant through the summer into the fall and all I wanted was summer drinks!! Love following along with your pregnancy!

I'm wondering - do you have a "feeling" on boy or girl??

    1. Thank you!! I will do so just because you told me to! ;)

As for a "feeling"...up until this week, I've thought boy the entire time but perhaps that's bc we were secretly hoping for a boy! Obviously-we'd LOVE a baby girl, too, and that's what I've really been thinking it is this week. I've read old wives tales til I'm blue in the face and they all point to boy, except for the heartbeat...the heartbeat points to girl. We shall see!!! I am literally counting down the days til we find out!

  12. So I've been away on vacation for a week and I seriously can't believe how much I have missed in ONE WEEK! Huge congratulations to you and Beau, and of course Oakley! Baby blog or not, I will be following along!!

  13. You are getting a little bump! Eeek can't wait til you pop :)
Ps- My mama has stretch marks from her pregnancies, so I swore up and down I'd get them. I even have them on my outer thighs from growing too fast as a teen. I tried bio oil, but then found Earth Mama Natural Stretch oil. Have you heard of it? I swear by it! I made it out without one stretch mark, and I still am in shock bc of it today. Just wanted to pass it along because I thought for sure I'd get them, too because of my mama's, but this oil has an ingredient that allows your body to naturally stretch. They even suggest putting it on your bottom a few weeks before delivery to help with the delivery. Okay, I'm done babbling :) Loving these posts girl! So so happy for you :)

  17. So I must know.. What is it that you use to write on your board with?? It's like a pen but that isn't right? A chalk pen!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Yep!! It's a chalkboard marker!! And is AMAZING and much cleaner looking than regular chalk! I just wipe it off with a magic eraser every week :) They make them in all different colors, too!

  21. I'm loving your updates! And I'm far from being married or having a baby... so you appeal to more than mamas! :)

  22. I don't see any reason to apologize for the way your blog is going. Your blog should evolve with you! Mine certainly did. It's what's great about blogs. And pickle juice?! This preggo over here doesn't really know what to make of that one.... And yeah, I have yet to work out this week. I'm hoping tonight I get some energy.

  25. When you write a lifestyle blog and get pregnant, it automatically turns into a baby blog. You can't help it, it's just a huge part of your life!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. No girl! We are DYING to hear about it!!!

    ...spill! ;)

  27. Hey girl so I am 28 weeks and I eat tuna at least once a week. It's totally fine. Actually eating fish in encouraged as long as it is low in mercury and you keep it to one serving a week.
