Operation: Kidnap Husband

What do you do when...

A: your husband's birthday is 23 days after Christmas
B: everything he wanted/needed he got for Christmas
C: he can't decide on what he wants to do for his birthday
and
D: his birthday falls on a Tuesday (lame)?

You take matters into your own hands and get real creative.

That's what.
***
Saturday morning
7:45am-ish
 ***
I packed our bags, the clock struck "10", we jumped in the car and "Operation: Kidnap Husband" was under way. For the next 2 hours, I drove him nuts asking him to guess where we were headed. (I think the suspense was killing me more than him!)

He guessed all the way from a casino in Louisiana (been there, done that), to a VIP strip club (not happening), to a concealed handgun class (10 hours long and on a Saturday? Also, not happening), to the the Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio (close-but no cigar).

He obviously had no clue.
(Pats self on back.)

Until I exited the highway.
Where we passed this HUGE billboard...
Ok so maybe I stretched the truth just a
leeeeetle but it said something along those lines...

 ***
Little did he know, I had another surprise in store...
Meet "Dancer" & "Jazz"

 ***
We spent the rest of the afternoon galavanting around the 400 something acres, played flag football with a few 8 year olds, got our name branded onto a piece of cedar, took pictures of any and everything in sight, fed a clydesdale, pet a longhorn, enjoyed a wonderful dinner together,  totally cheated on the diet with drinks and dessert, listened to live country music in one of the bars and ended the night sitting around a fire pit...one of Beau's favorite things to do in the whole wide world. That boy loves him a good fire!

The weather was beyond beautiful.
The resort could not have been any more perfect.
And the fact that he had no clue what I had up my sleeve was the best part.

It. Was. Heavenly.
And so is he.

Happy (almost) birthday, Lovebug. :)
