You all know of Zappos, right?
You all know my deep, deep obsession with Zappos, right? RIGHT?
I mean, I've read 3 Zappos books, took a trip to tour their headquarters in Vegas earlier this year, and even sat at Tony Hsieh's (CEO) incredibly mess desk. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
If fast and free shipping {both ways} plus a 365-day, no-questions-asked return policy doesn't have you typing "zapp..." into your address bar, I honestly don't know what will.
From purses and clothes to shoes and makeup bags, Zappos has pretty much got all departments covered and they make it incredible easy to do business with them. Not to mention, they lead the country with the highest customer service ratings. Who doesn't want to do business with a company who genuinely cares about its customers?
My most recent Zappos experience came in the form of a shoe shopping spree. Flat shoes, to be exact.
After pounding the pavement in Chicago in nothing more than (dare I say?) cheap, Target flats, I decided it was time to invest in some flats that actually provided my little feetsies with some sort of support. (I kid you not, by the third day of being in Chicago, Beau, Katie, Billy and myself were ALL crying at the thought of putting on shoes and walking anywhere. No lie.)
Enter Clarks. Yes, Clarks.
Dunbar Cruiser - are these not the most perfect summertime shoe?! Think topsiders, but more flattering.
Being a twenty-something, cheap shoe-buying, quantity over quality, price over comfort kind of person I am, never in my life did I think I'd own a pair of Clarks, that is, until I slipped one foot in one shoe.
Holy mother of all things soft and fluffy, my feet immediately dove right into these babies and were floating on cloud 9. Imagine a shoe stuffed with itty bitty pillows and made of premium materials, and that's what a pair of Clarks feels like on your feet.
From classic flats and heels to trendy boots to booties, Clarks has a huge selection of incredibly stylish and comfortable shoes so that you no longer have to choose between price or comfort. Trust me when I say, just try them on. That's all. And I promise you, you'll not only see the difference, but you'll feel it, too.
My entire outlook on shoes has changed thanks to my very first Clarks experience and sorry, Target, I love just about everything you have to offer, but to be quite honest, your flats downright suck. Yep, I said it.
Now for the best part! For a chance to get yourself your very own pair of Clarks, in the form of a $100 Zappos gift card, simply tell me..when it comes to buying shoes, what comes first: style or comfort?

I decide if I like the style first but if they aren't comfortable, I can't buy them! I know I'll have to be able to wear them all day at work, and I don't want blisters!

Comfort.
ReplyDeleteI was always told 'always buy a good bed and good shoes. If you aren't in one, you are in the other'.
There are some insanely cute, comfy shoes out there.
(PS I'm not in the US, so can't enter, just wanted to give my opinion!!).
I used to be all style, but since having a baby, comfort wins EVERY TIME!
ReplyDeleteComfort!
ReplyDeleteHaving worked in a department store, I appreciate the comfort that quality flats offer. The really cheap ones make my feet ache after a few hours.
ReplyDeleteI usually go for style first but they have to be comfortable or I will not buy them no matter how cute they are!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely comfort...when you wear a size that's hard to find (10.5), it's necessary.
ReplyDeleteCan I be totally cliche and say both? If they aren't cute I won't buy them, but if they kill my feet I won't buy them. I need a good mix of both!
ReplyDeleteStyle! However, I always carry cheap back ups in my purse whenever comfort pushes through at the end of the night!
ReplyDeleteI was literally looking at the Zappos website when I clicked over to Feedly. For me, it's definitely comfort. I try to go as stylish as possible but you'll find me in Topsiders A LOT because of the support. I'd LOVE to try Clarks though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
Style. Hands down. I look for style - but I won't buy (or keep if I ordered online) if they aren't comfortable. However, after wearing heels daily for years, most shoes don't bother my feet. I also haven't owned a pair of flats in years. Besides my riding boots and gym shoes, everything has a heel. I think it's time to break out of my high heel rut and try something new :)
ReplyDeleteI definitely go for style first...and then if I like the style, I make sure they are comfortable too. I don't want to buy something that I'm never going to wear because they aren't comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI always pick comfort over style. Flats over heels any day. But if you can find comfort and style that is definitely work spending the extra money on. And I love your rug!
ReplyDeleteI go for style first, and then comfort. I don't buy uncomfortable stylish shoes, but I never buy comfortable unstylish shoes. I like how it looks!
ReplyDeleteAs a pregnant lady comfort wins out for now.....:)
ReplyDeleteComfort, but definitely stylish comfort :)
ReplyDeleteI try my hardest to go for style, but my impossible high arch and my weirdly shaped toes force me to go for comfort most of the time. I am obsessed with owning a cute pair of booties this season, so I was excited to see some Clark's booties!

ReplyDeleteComfort, I work in NYC..my feet hate me!
ReplyDeleteMost of the time I go for comfort, if my feet aren't comfortable my day is ruined. There have been some footwear that I went for style though. I just can't help it sometimes!
ReplyDeletecomfort comes above any other quality when it comes to shoes [for me]. style probably ends up 4th or 5th on the list after comfort, fit, price, and comfort yet again! :)
ReplyDeleteMost always comfort especially since i chase a crazy busy 15 month old around all day long!!
ReplyDeleteBecause I try to always be moving at work I look for comfort but style is what catches my eye. It won't be a deal breaker if they aren't the most comfortable, but it's a plus!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely comfort. Even though I am quite vertically challenged at 5'2", I have never embraced the stylish mile high shoes that would greatly benefit me in the height department. I'll stick with my 1-2" comfortable heels, please!
ReplyDeleteLove Zappos! Style attracts me to the shoe first, but if it's too painful they're not coming home with me.
ReplyDeleteComfort! Stylish doesn't do me any good sitting in my closet because they hurt to wear.
ReplyDeleteLove those flats!!!!
ReplyDeleteComfort is key! I can't stand when my feet are in pain, and you almost never catch me in heels. Not to say that I skimp on style... but I will always try and find the most comfortable and stylish pair of shoes. :-)
ReplyDeleteComfort. Always.
ReplyDeleteI definitely look at style first.
ReplyDeleteComfort comes first. My feet are far too messed up to even be able to consider style...and as I was told by 1 woman out of the blue, 'your shoes are ugly!' it only confirms this. =/
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely more of a "OOH LOOK PRETTY" kind of shoe girl, which is probably why I only wear half of my shoes once because they hurt so much. One of the only things I love about Autumn is that I can wear boots, though. They're comfortable AND cute.
ReplyDeleteI used to be all about style until I started a job where I am on my feet a lot. Now I look for more of a mix between comfort and style, which is very hard to find.
ReplyDeleteDef comfort! I wont wear a shoe if it is painful - even if it's cute!
ReplyDeleteStyle may be what catches my eye initially, but if they aren't comfortable they aren't worth having!
ReplyDeleteComfort ultimately wins out, even if the style is super cute!
ReplyDeleteComfort wins for me.
ReplyDeleteI live in Chicago.. I think you can guess that my priority is always comfort!
ReplyDeleteComfort will win out over style everytime, that's why I need Clarks because they are BOTH!
ReplyDeleteAlways style! I'll just break em in, or wear them in short doses.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, style wins everytime, lol! I try to find stylish and comfy but if I'm looking for something specific I go for the look every time.
ReplyDeleteStyle first always....the pair has to catch my eye first and then I see how they look on. Also they have to be comfortable, if they aren't or the don't look good on they aren't staying in my closet.
ReplyDeleteSadly style comes first but lately my feet have been hating me... I think it's time for comfort to start coming first!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely comfort!! The rest of your outfit and the confidence/way you carry yourself will make you look stylish either way :)
ReplyDeleteComfort for sure!!! I dislike blisters and sore feet!
ReplyDeleteIt's gotta be comfort. I am a baby when it comes to my feet hurting
ReplyDeleteStylish comfort!!! :)
ReplyDeleteComfort for sure, but helps if the shoes are cute too :-)
ReplyDeleteI love comfort, but I must say that I will kill my feet for cute shoes!
ReplyDeleteI love being comfortable but if I find a pair of cute shoes, comfort goes right out the window!
ReplyDeleteI think comfort comes first for me....but I still def take style into consideration. No grandma shoes here! I have never tried Clarks before...the ones you got are super cute though!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't agree with you more! In my previous days, I would say style, but now that I live in the city and have to walk up a huge hill to get to work everyday...comfort!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely style! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a total comfort girl...don't get me wrong I love style too, but comfort is HUGE for me, I love clarks!
ReplyDeleteCute shoes!!! Is affordability an option?! LOL I'd have to say I'm more of a comfort girl. I couldn't tell you the last time I wore pumps!
ReplyDeleteumm seriously those dunbar loafers are so cute!!! :) I would wear them all.the.time! ;) I am totally a comfort girl, always have been.
ReplyDeleteI am at the point where I would rather be comfortable! I gotta go try Clarks and test them out :)
ReplyDeleteI love a cute pair of shoes but ultimately I choose comfort over style, especially since now I am getting older *gasp*! Cute shoes, Steph!
ReplyDelete- Meaghan D
Style still comes first for me...comfort is just an added bonus!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely comfort!
ReplyDeleteComfort fo' sho! Growing up I had (and still do) have a foot malformation and wearing cute shoes isn't always the best thing for me. I basically live in cheap Target flats and sometimes my feet hurt so badly I cry! This would seriously be a Godsend, you have no idea. PICK MEEEE!
ReplyDeleteI think it depends on the occasion. But, usually comfort has to come first for me. And I always search for both in my shoes!

Comfort!
ReplyDelete100% comfort!! I've finally realized that there is no point spending money on a pair of shoes (normally heels) that I will maybe wear once, and likely take off because they hurt my feet.
ReplyDeleteTypically style, but now hat I'm chasing around a toddler, comfort is key!
ReplyDeleteStyle! But I try to get shoes that are comfortable for work too! I have a pair of clarks wedges and they really are heaven!!
ReplyDeleteI'd say 70/30 comfort on top!! Most of my days are at the office, so comfort reigns!
ReplyDeleteStyle and Comfort! Gotta have both for sure!
ReplyDeleteBoth for sure but now that I live in Michigan I have to think about what's going to hold up in the snow eeek!
ReplyDeleteI have to go price and comfort thses days!! Since I'm up and down in the office all day I need comfort but being a "business causal" office I love me some pretty too! :)
ReplyDeleteAs I'm getting older I definitely feel like comfort comes first.
ReplyDeleteI just bought a farm but still have an apartment in Milwaukee...so both! Style and Comfort!
ReplyDeletewww.cocktailsandgoats.com
Comfort!!! I hate achy feet with blisters !! I love zappos!! :)
ReplyDeleteComfort comes first for me. Although I can't say I would buy a totally ugly pair of shoes just because they are comfy. So style is a verrrrry close 2nd.
ReplyDeleteComfort. Used to be style until I began having neuropathy
ReplyDeleteI used to always think style but the older I get the more I think comfort!
ReplyDeleteaaa it's a mixture of both! I guess I go for comfort more, but I love stylish flats! I would LOVE to win this:))
ReplyDeleteAlways comfort!
ReplyDeleteStyle comes first although I do like comfort for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteMix of both! They have to be cute and I have to be able to wear them all day!
ReplyDeleteI love a mixture of both and think I find cute shoes that are comfortable. As a runner who had a stress fracture last year - the health of my feet has to come first!
ReplyDeletecomfort.

I try to find a balance of both as you can't walk very far in cute shoes, end up taking them off, and have no cute shoes on to show off! Ha!
ReplyDeleteBoth! I can't walk in super uncomfortable shoes - but I would NEVER buy a pair of shoes I thought were ugly either :)
ReplyDeleteI go for style first and then comfort - sometimes! Which is why my feet are hurting right now after wearing my heels all day for work :) But the heels are super cute!
ReplyDeleteStyle first but they gotta be comfortable too!
ReplyDeleteBoth! I probably look at style first, but they have to be wearable. I bought a pair of Clarks wedges last summer and I can honestly say that those shoes (3 inch heels and all) are the most comfortable shoes I own! I would love to try a pair of Clarks loafers! Thanks for this fabulous give away! Susan
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately style and then, like you, I end up walking around a big city hating myself because my feet hurt so bad.
ReplyDeleteI agree, both I think! I will not by an ugly shoe just because it is comfortable, but nor will I buy a beautiful shoe that I can only manage to wear for 20 minutes due to crippling pain!
ReplyDeleteStyle, but Comfort is a close second!
ReplyDeleteComfort wins everytime!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to go with comfort, but the inner (younger) me still considers style when picking shoes. I like a good combo of both.
ReplyDeleteI definitely go with comfort, but within reason. I'm a HUGE fan of Clarks b/c it definitely is the best of both worlds.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely comfort!
ReplyDeleteI used to do style but lately it is all about the comfort! Love the giveaway! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI always go for style first but then they have to be somewhat comfortable!
ReplyDeleteComfort comes first for the majority of my shoes, as I work in the operating room for many hours without sitting. Clarks are great shoes that don't compromise style for comfort. freshsamanthaaa@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteComfort comfort comfort! I am notorious for walking around the shoe dept with one shoe off sticking my foot in every shoe I like...I will only try on ones that pass the one foot comfort test!
ReplyDeletesize comes first for me! I have tiny feet and struggle to find shoes that fit.
ReplyDeleteComfort is paramount. If I put on the shoe and it doesn't have the right "feel" on my foot or anything is rubbing anywhere, just fugeddaboudit. And that even counts for hottie night-on the town shoes. However, style runs a verrry close second. I wanna feel comfortable AND sexxxy in my shoes. Therefore, I don't buy many shoes anymore. And I virtually never buy without trying them on first. Enter Clarks. I can order them without having to try them on. My favorite Clark's style is their clog. The foot bed is pure-dee H.E.A.V.E.N. Aaaaand, they always look awesome with jeans, shorts, and skirts so one pair can cover a multitude of occasions. Of course, being the girl that I am, I have several pair. And plan to get more in the near future!
ReplyDeleteI'd say style and comfort are equally important to me. If a shoe hurts, I'm not going to wear it. If it looks terrible I'm not going to wear it either.
ReplyDeletecomfort is more inportant
ReplyDeletehttps://twitter.com/purplelover04/status/389150045045411840
ReplyDeleteFor me comfort is a must. As a teacher, I am on my feet all day every day and even if shoes are so super cute, if I have to take them off after an hour walking around my classroom, I just can't.

ReplyDeleteStyle is what attracts me to the shoe but if it's not comfortable, it goes back on the rack!
ReplyDeletecomfort is most important to me
ReplyDeleteComfort! I refer to reviews that say shoes are comfortable or I don't even buy.
ReplyDeleteI also have to thank Zappos for allowing me to process an exchange last week on the "comfortable" shoes that actually ripped off the back of both of my feet. Literally. Three times. Got a real pair of comfortable shoes and can't be happier!
Also, Clarks are amazing and I have the most comfortable shoes from them. They can't be purchased ever again (as the style is discontinued) so I hope my shoes last forever!
