Grab A Glass & Stay Awhile. Would Ya?

 

I don't know about you but I absolutely LOVE entertaining. If I could stand to work nights and weekends again (been there...done that...) I'd quit my day job and be an event planner in a heartbeat. No questions asked.

More so than just entertaining, I love entertaining close friends and family. Since purchasing our first home, inviting parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, in-laws, nieces, neighbors, new friends, old friends...you name it over to eat, drink and just downright enjoy the company of one another has become a new favorite hobby of mine.

What better way to entertain than friends and family than with a good bottle of reasonably priced wine?

Gallo Family Vineyards was established in 1933 and since then, they continue to strive to bring together friends and families closer to one another by the means of their very tasty, very approachable wines. (If you've ever read my bio right thurr to the left, you can appreciate why they had me at "less than $5 per bottle!)

I fancy white wines so I definitely favored the Chardonnay (fruity and sweet, not dry at all), while Beau, on the other hand, preferred their Cabernet Sauvignon. 

Here recently, everyone is starting to move a little closer and closer to one another and I couldn't be more elated! I moved closer to my mom and brother, Beau's parents moved a little closer to us and more recently, my aunt and uncle moved from Dallas to not only Houston, but INTO our neighborhood and now reside .8 miles away from us! Someone is always cooking something delicious, pouring something strong or just inviting people over to spend time with one another and that, my friends, is what family is all about.

Along with very affordable wines, Gallo has more recently launched their Gallo Family Vineyards Crest Creator; a fun and interactive site that gives you a way to create, share and download your very own personalized family crest. I had so much fun creating mine and Beau's! (Below) It's pretty clear as to what our priorities are around here: wine, traveling, our furchild and the Lonestar State.)
