...and no I'm not talking "Paper Planes"
(although that song did come on my Pandora this morning and I kinda liked it.)
Anyways, Yes. Indeed. I am still alive. (Alive and well, actually!)
It's not like me to only update this little blog here 2-3 times per week and be completely non-existant on Twitter so I'm sure you've all just been sitting on pins and needles wondering what the heck is going on.
Rest easy, my friends.
My life, right now, is consumed with 4 simple things:
1. Rodeo
2. Babies
3. Weddings
4. Work
Proof. (PS-why am I such a Post-It note whore?)
Don't get me wrong-I love all 4 but I could stand to skip out on the 5th, 6th and 7th things that have recently taken up real estate in my life...
5. Exhaustion.
6. Poor eating habits.
7. And husband? What husband?
Sweet baby Jesus. I am pooped!
(A 3 hour nap may or may not have happened last night.)
So pooped that I don't even have anything exciting to tell you, or cool pictures to show you or even something slightly interesting. Literally...I am in a funk. And my house...let's not even go there. Anyone know of a reliable maid service in Houston? I'll pay them in sweet nothings...
Anyhoo, don't you fret my little loverbutts.
Rodeo ends this weekend and alas, I shall be back to my normal self in no time. (Fingers crossed.) I'm even considering a hair tutorial for next week. Get excited people.
Holy crap, life. Could you slow down just a bit?
***
On a ridiculously random note, Beau said something the other night that made my entire body giggle. (Where he comes up with this crap is beyond me...)
Story goes like this:
I'm in the kitchen boiling shrimp. I run into the living room to pause The Bachelor (we won't even get into that story...) and I ask him to watch over the shrimp to make sure they didn't boil over.
All of a sudden, out of nowhere, he goes:
"Do you think if I add sea salt, the shrimp will feel more at home?"
Ba-dum-tsssss....
Leave it to my husband to give my life the teeniest bit of interesting these days...
***
PS-1 month from today marks ONE YEAR of marriage!
Holy balls.
Can you believe that??

ha ha I love Beau's comment! Awesome. :) Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeletehahahaha good one Beau!!! I've been feeling the same way about my life...I feel like I've had zero time for myself, and my relationship with my husband consists of "bye, have a good day, love you" and "Hi honey, how was your day, goodnight!" SO hard! We're going to CA next week, so I KNOW we'll get some time together there!
ReplyDeleteI just laughed out loud from that story!
