Hi frands! Happy "Go Texan" day!
(Yes, this is a REAL day in the Lonestar State.)
And yes, this is a legit picture I took last night at dinner.
It's rodeo time, y'all. People go ALLLLL out this time of year. Lemme tell ya.
Tonight officially kicks off rodeo season with the annual BBQ cookoff so you can bet your sweet butt I'll be there. Unfortunately, I won't be busting out my flag print skirt or white kitten/mule heels thingies.
Sorry to disappoint.
Sorry to disappoint.
I've actually been coming completely out of my shell these days when it comes to new clothes. Six months ago, I would have never even tried either of these on...
Exhibit A:
And exhibit B:
I'll be sporting this little number with my brown cowboy boots and possibly a denim jacket to cookoff tonight. I might even throw in a brown belt for good measure. Ooooooh!
PS: this is the exact same dress as the black one above. It's from XXI, just diff colors and only $15 bones. Go getchaself one!
And as if this post isn't random enough for ya, I'm also over at this girl's blog today!
Just in case you didn't recognize her in that cat/clown combo she's working...
that would be Lindsey, THE Bargain Blonde, I'm speaking of.
So get your tush over there and show me some love, will ya?!
That dress is seriously adorable. I wonder if I can successfully find it in Ohio. Happy Friday!

ReplyDeleteOkay, I am really ashamed to admit that I know this but that is a square-dancing skirt / outfit. They used to have square dancing at the rec center across from my dad's and the women wore the craziest skirts like that. Now why people still square dance is beyond me. LOL
ReplyDeleteIn other news, you look HAWT.
Love the dresses. And you are just too pretty for words. You make everything look good!! Hope you had a blast! Cant believe its Rodeo time already! Ill be at Jason Aldean...cant wait.
ReplyDeletesomeone needs to introduce miss rodeo to pinterest!!!
ReplyDeletei LOVE your new fashion risks. i went to the F21 today to stalk your dress but all I found was a few items in that went to my knees are were too tight to go any further. Apparently I need to be shopping at the "F! I no longer have a highschool body"
And I totally pinned you on pinterest. you a superstar!!!
Making strips looks good Steph;)
ReplyDeleteone of our best friends was in town this weekend, and he is originally from the Houston area. He was telling us about the Rodeo, and treated us to a Homemade Shrimp Boil. It was fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteYou pull off those dresses SO well! Love it. A lot of people can't pull off stripes like you can. Work it girl!
ReplyDeleteYou're telling me that you don't want that amazing American flag skirt with those wonderful white pumps from the early 90's??? Cmon!
i love that dress and want one. how does the sizing run?
ReplyDeleteI love that cute little dress! I need to get to XXI soon!
