Blue vs. Pink

I'm big on celebrating the little things, which would probably explain why our friend's, Kirby & Jon, gender reveal party was THE highlight of my weekend.

Kind of a big deal around here...

Yup-little ol' me hit 400 followers today! Who woulda thunk?!

I know everyone and their dog says this but I really did start this thing to keep my friends and family updated on my life. For me-this is true because I no has Facebook. Yes-you read that right. I don't have Facebook. So truthfully, that's the background behind all this. I never even imagined I would even have 10 followers and now 400?! 400 people that what to read my musings on a daily basis?! I'm quite flattered!

I can't even imagine how it would feel to hit the 4 digits! 1,000? 5,000? That's huge! (& kind of daunting!)

I've truly met some outstanding women through my little snippit of the world wide web and have made some friendships that would have never been possible without Blogland! I've tried to describe it to "outsiders" (aka-non bloggers) and I'm pretty sure they think I have an entourage of imaginary friends.

So be it. They're awesome imaginary friends...

Anywho-I just want to say THANK YOU, thank you, thank you...

Dear "The Limited",

You need new staff in your marketing department. Posting signs all over your store that say "40% off shirts" when what you meant to say was "40% off BUTTON-UPS ONLY" is pretty lame. I didn't waste an hour of my life to trek through the mall in heels and a suit to try on 4 shirts, totally fall in love with them only to be disappointed at the register when I find out they are, indeed, regular price because "the 40% off only applies to button ups". Really??? Where the eff in this store does it say that??? And NO. I didn't want those shirts anyway.

Dear friend whore,

Just because you come into contact with someone for longer than 4 seconds doesn't necessarily mean they're your new "BFF". Would you consider them to be a bridesmaid in your wedding? Do they even know where you went to high school or what your parents names are? Would they be at the hospital when you had your first child? No? Then they probably don't qualify as a "best friend". There's a pretty big difference between a "friend" and a "best friend". Figure it out before your real "BFFs" drop you like a fly. As far as I'm concerned, I start to wonder if you even have any real "best friends"...because it seems like anyone that's breathing is considered one.

I confess...earlier this week I accidentally wore my panties inside out for the entire day and never bothered fixing them...

I confess...I demolished a huge cupcake in less than 2 minutes yesterday and didn't feel guilty about it. Nope. Not one bit.

Fact: I'm a chronic list maker.

If it's not written down, it's not gettin' done. That's all there is to it.

I can't possibly take credit for this but I just had to share it with y'all since it has been such a lifesaver lately.

I feel terrible.
I have NO idea whose blog I found this on so if you're reading this and this is yours, please, by all means, take credit for it!!

One sheet of paper to track your goals, tasks, appointments, exercise and even how much water you drink. Freaking GENIUS! I've never kept track of how much water I drink during the day but keeping up with it on this little gem really puts it into perspective. (Trust me...by about 4 pm when I've only had 3 glasses of wate, I start chuggin' and the bathroom breaks begin to hit about every 20 minutes. One might think I were preggo. Rest assured-I am not.)

Anyways...it's alllll yours for the taking!

Just right click, save image as, open it in a word or publisher document, re-size it and print your little heart out! (I usually print out 5 every Monday...this way I can use them to schedule other appointments/tasks later on in the week...)

So there. For all you habitual listers out there, you're welcome! ;)

Reason #436 why I wish I could sew ...

I guess owning a sewing machine would be a good start, right?!

Anyways...tailgating, errr-I mean, football season is t-minus 32 days away and little ol' me is just gettin' a little prepped!

Let's be honest, although it's supposed to be all about the boys in tight pants, football season, for us girls, is allll about looking the cutest at the tailgate. Right?! Right.

So besides the fact that I would be able to make curtains and bedding (do people sew bedding?) and all sorts of other cuteness for my future nuggets...I could also make a killing off of these puppies...

This one is extremely special to me.
It's made out of a tshirt I bought my dad for Father's Day a few years ago.
You can see the "DAD" but it's very faint. People who know me, get it. 0:)

God bless Beau's aunt for literally just going off what I had in my head to make them.

Sadly, this was her first and only time to make these unless I can somehow coax her out of the wedding cake biz. ;)

BUT you're in luck! I found a lady on Etsy who can make them for y'all! and you can find her here. She's based out of Fort Worth and if you sweet talk her, she just might be open to doing custom orders! :)

Or-if you're like every other average American woman who actually owns a sewing machine, you can sew them yourself and make a pretty penny! All you need is an XL tshirt, any kind of cotton fabric and lace! (Samantha...I'm talking to YOU sister!)
