I shared my list with you as a way to hold myself accountable for actually completing all 30. (Perhaps I should start posting my weekly chores and workouts so you all could hold me accountable there too? Just an idea...)
So anywho...since I've started working towards some of my goals, I realized I've actually made quite a bit of progress! (Pats self on back.) Granted, there's still a lot to do, but hey, at least we're not starting with a blank canvas here people. Give me some credit, k? K!
Some things I'm currently working on, some I've completely accomplished, and some, well, I haven't even thought about yet...
Without further adieu...my 30 before 30 update:
- Pay for someone else's meal anonymously: still looking for that perfect person/family!
- Witness a proposal: check & check!
This should count as two things, yes? - Be a maid of honor
- Learn graphic design: LONG way to go here...
- Drink wine in Napa
- Learn how to shoot in manual (& be semi-decent at it): EXTRA long way to go here...
- Make double mortgage payments once/year: possibly happening next month?!
- Pack only in a carry on for a trip: DONE! My recent trips to both Pittsburgh AND Vegas were only packed in a carry on! And yes, one night trips totally count when the other people you're with checked bags!
- Eat a raw diet for 3 days straight: ya...so about that...
- Turn my blog into a book
- Write a gratitude for a full year: currently in progress! It's amazing the things you're thankful for when you know you have to write something different every single day for an entire year! I highly recommend this!
- Find a church and go regularly: DONE! Beau and I both recently found a church less than a mile from our house and we are really loving it! We actually get excited on Sunday mornings and look forward to the message for once! The fact that you can literally wear anything (and I mean ANYTHING) you want and our pastor is hysterical makes going to church THAT much better.
- Swim in Lake Michigan: possibly this summer?! We shall see!
- Grow blog to 6,500 followers: always a work in progress! And YES! Some bloggers may say they don't pay attention to/care about the followers. I'm pulling the BS card...
- Send handwritten cards once/week
- Renew our vows in April 2016: can we do this, like, tomorrow?! ;)
- Have a baby: no set plans as of now but who knows?!
- Go an entire week without social media: wahhhhh!! I don't wanna!!
- Host a party all on my own
- Start a new family tradition
- Take a vacation with just Beau and myself: planning one for next year! Hallelujah!
- Visit my family in Tennessee
- Send my mom on a vacation
- Get a puppy: Check! Check! Check! Well, almost! Our new baby girl will be home in 6-8 weeks!
- Be a leader in my company: always a work in progress!
- Buy Beau a Ford Raptor...in cash
- Wake up at 5am every week day
- Work out 3 times per week before work
- Rebuild savings account to at least $25,000
- Pay it forward in a really BIG way
My goal for 2013 is to complete 11 of the 30 to keep myself on track. It's only February and I've already knocked out 5. Can I get a hell ya?!

{not pictured is #12, for obvious reasons...}
How are you doing on your 2013 goals?
You DID set some, didn't you???
Remember...
I have always wanted to do a 30 before 30 but I have just never gotten around to writing the list. I need to get on that because I turn 27 in a few weeks so I don't have a ton of time! You are doing so good at yours and I love the things you have on your list.
ReplyDeleteI def need to make a 30 b4 30 list :)
ReplyDeleteMy 30 before 30 list isn't doing too bad.. buuuuut I'll be 30 in 6 months and there are some things on there that I know aren't going to happen sadly like going to Europe. We postponed our Europe trip that we were going to take this spring to our 5th anniversary and we're doing the much more budget friendly Punta Cana instead :-P
ReplyDeleteAnd drink wine in Napa? YES PLEASE! :)
I love that Lake Michigan is on your list! What part are you looking into? You should check out Traverse City, in Michigan. It's an awesome little tourist town and one of our favorite places, even being from Michigan.
ReplyDeletehaving only a carry on is totally legit even if it is for a one night visit. having only a carry on is a really hard thing to accomplish...at least in my book ;)
ReplyDeleteGreat progress on your goals! I'm jealous that you could be knocking out the double mortgage payments next month. Way to rock it girl!
ReplyDeleteGreat list!!! But... Um, I just turned 30 on Saturday. Am I took late to make this list? :(
ReplyDeleteLove all of these goals! I think it's so important to have goals... otherwise I feel like I'm just spinning my wheels in one place all of the time.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading your list! It's inspired me to do a few of those things listed. :)
ReplyDeleteinstead of a 30 before 30 i have a 101 in 1001 list. and i love that you want to buy beau a raptor. zac wants one too.
ReplyDeleteI love this list! I may have to do something like it! Great idea :)
ReplyDeleteOh, and I just helped you with #14! Haha!
I'm new to the blogging world, come say hi!

I just posted about my goals for 2013 yesterday...took me long enough! hahaha. I turn 30 in 2014...so maybe I should do one of these? I dunno...the list I have for this year is pretty good for me right now.
ReplyDeleteGREAT list girl, and well done on starting to achieve these too! I've done a 20 wishes list for the next year...
ReplyDeleteP.S. So glad you found a new church that you are both enjoying... It sounds a lot like our church and we LOVE it too!
x
