Whatever it may be, I have come across some incredible beauty buys that I couldn't help but share with the world. Ahem: the blogging world, that is.
1. Suave Keratin Shampoo & Conditioner: holy amazingness. I was a Paul Mitchell girl for years...YEARS...until I had to stop using it because all of their products have panthenol in them. (Panthenol = no bueno for the pores.) My mom told me about this stuff and I thought to myself "Suave? Pssssh..." Never in a million years did I think I'd ever purchase a bottle. Now...I can't buy enough of it! It's panthenol-free and works wonders! My hair is thicker, shinier and has been growing like no tomorrow. Even my hair girl made a comment about it! Which brings me to my next two products...
2. Suave Dry Shampoo: For all you greasy-headed kids out there, run to your nearest Target and purchase a case of this bottled gold. I've had greasy hair my WHOLE life (all 26 years, ya know) and this is by far the BEST dry shampoo I've yet to find. Best part-it's only $3. Yes.
3. Suave Leave-In Conditioner: Same as the shampoo and conditioner, this stuff does NOT disappoint. I want to say the bottle is like $3, lasts forever and works like a charm. Again, this one is panthenol-free, too, and works the same, if not better, than my old flame, Paul Mitchell Super Strong Leave-In. (Yes-I miss that stuff. No-I do not miss the price tag.)
4. Baby Lips: All my fellow lip balm addictees, you'll be pissed you didn't know about this sooner. Just take my advice on this one, mmmkay?
5. Elf Cream Eyeliner: I've talked about this before and I'll talk about it again. La-la-la-la-LOVE this stuff. Again, I want to say it's like $3 and the tub lasts for-ev-er. It goes on okay with the tiny brush that comes with it but it goes on amazing when you use Elf's angled eyeliner brush!
6. Revlon Colorstay Foundation: I cannot POSSIBLY say enough good things about this foundation. Along with an oily head, I was also blessed with uber-oily skin. I've used Dior Airbrush Foundation, Makeup Forever Foundation, MAC, Elf, etc...and it never failed...my face looked like a slip-n-slide by 10am. The Colorstay is, hands down, my absolute FAVORITE foundation to ever grace my skin. My face is rarely shiny, if at all, and it stays on all. day. long. Plus-it's panthenol-free, too!(Muy importante for my acne-prone girls out there!)
7. Elf Lipgloss: I was skeptical about this stuff the first time I tried it but lo and behold, it completely won me over the 5th time I tried it. My favorite color is "Fairy" and the best part, it only costs 1 dollhair.
8. Revlon Colorstay Powder: Repeat #6. Amazing stuff, I tell ya, and goes on GREAT with the Colorstay foundation.
9. Elf Stipple Brush: lets just say I'm a little bitter about that fact that I spent my hard-earned $50 on the stupid MAC stipple brush when this one was a whopping $6 AND works better.
10. Maybelline Love Lash: Ahhh the infamous pink and green tube. I have tried this mascara SO many times only to be disappointed every single time, that was, until I got the RIGHT pink and green tube. From Diorshow to Lacomes Definicil, Lash Love trumps those, in my book. Girls...you MUST run to your nearest Tarjay and buy this stuff STAT. It's separates your lashes perfectly, does NOT clump or flake and gives your lashes the length they deserve.
I'm the last person to look to for beauty advice and I'm definitely no PinkLouLou when I comes to this stuff, I know, but these are a few recent finds I know I'll be using (& loving) for a long, long time! And the best part, you can find them all at good ol' Target for less than $10 each. :) You're so welcome!

In other, and fabulously incredible news...I pick up Katie & Billy from the airport TONIGHT!!!!! Holy balls batman! The Krysh's are finally coming to Texas!!!! Tomorrow and Saturday night the ultimate blogger bash is going down...Katie, Kristen, Shalyn and yours truly will be within the same 4 walls. Oh ya. I promise to post updates on the ol' Insta and who knows, maybe a vlog (or 2?) will ensue...(no promises there). We shall see. Stay tuned, my good friends.

Last but DEFINITELY not least, my sweet sissy-in-law (expecting triplets) was put on permanent bed rest as of today. She's 21 weeks and has a LONG way to go. If you find it in your heart, please go show her some love on her blog today. I'm sure she could use the thoughts, prayers and any type of entertainment you can provide her with! Y'all are the best! Thanks. :)

I was just thinking to myself as I was getting ready this morning that I wanted to try a new shampoo and new makeup! Thanks for the tips! :)
ReplyDeleteI love product number three i use it all the time!! obsessed!!
ReplyDeleteI have been wanting a dry shampoo, but havent figured out which one is best for the price. I will totally be heading to Target this weekend to spend at least $100 I am sure of it because well Target has my heart ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the tips lady!! Have so much fun this weekend! Kinda jealous of all the ladies being together, cant wait to see/hear the updates. and ummm.... a vlog I vote yes!! ;)
Thanks for the recommendations. I'm always so clueless when it comes to this stuff. I have oily skin too so I'm going to definitely go buy that makeup tonight.
ReplyDeleteThat Suave shampoo and conditioner is ALLLLL I use. It is so good.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a bargain shopper! I LOVE #3 & 10!
ReplyDeleteSuave...who knew? I am totally going to pick some of this stuff up this weekend!
ReplyDeleteLove love love Baby Lips!
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with Elf. Why did it take them so long to grace the shelves of Target? I am the last person on the planet to spend money on beauty products. I cringe watching girls in Sephora so these products make my heart sing.
ReplyDeleteI picked up the Suave a few weeks ago until my BFF could get me my beloved Biolage and I was shocked as well!! LOVE it and the smell is amazing!!
ReplyDeleteI might have to give the Suave Shampoo & conditioner a try! I use Sebastian now & LOVE it but, it's a leeetle pricey so I try to use other stuff in between every 2 washes or so of Sebastian.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna have to try that Suave shampoo/cond! And I'm so glad to see you posted about Baby Lips: I've been meaning to buy for a while. Is it really that amazing? (Might run to the drugstore today!)
ReplyDeleteI love the whole Suave hair care line and I have very needy hair! And the ELF eyeliner... definitely a favorite, but I haven't picked up their angled brush... I think I'll run to Target after work! ;)
ReplyDeleteGIRL. Suave professionals shamp/cond & their dry shampoo is amazing!!!and Elf products- don't even get me started. they are awesome and SO cheap!
ReplyDeleteI love that you posted this. I've made the changes from all of the spendy stuff back to regular drug store stuff. I definitely don't miss the price tag! However, my sis works in an Aveda salon, so I still get all of their stuff for SUUUPER cheap :)
ReplyDeleteOMG, it's like your raided my bathroom! I have tried every single dry shampoo (even the crazy expensive ones) and nothing comes close to the Suave version! And same with the Great Lash mascaras. I kept trying them because they always win every single beauty award and I have always been disappointed. But the love lash...amazing. And I am 100% addicted to Baby Lips - the peach shade. I have about 10 and always stock up when there's a sale! :)

Classy with a Kick
I've never been a Suave fan but I got a coupon in the mail for a free shampoo and conditioner from their new Moroccan Oil line and it's SO good! I'm not at all surprised to see that you're loving their Keratin stuff... seems like they've amped up their products, which is good. I'm gonna try that Revlon foundation next... I have oily skin too and no matter what foundation I use, I'm always "shiny" by lunch time!
ReplyDeleteI really want to be good with dry shampoo, but I just don't think I use it right! I never really feel like my hair looks clean afterwards and I end up washing it anyway.
ReplyDeleteBabylips on the other hand... best beauty purchase of February.

With Luck
i use suave; the same exact one. i love it.
ReplyDeleteelf eyeliner.. havent used anything else in over a year.. stays on long perfect for me.
how did you find the perfect color in revlon ? i don't want to buy a bunch and not find the right color =[
Yes. How to find the right color????
DeleteI just opened up a bottle that looked like it matched and tested it on my hand. Yes-I'm that person. Luckily, the one that I tested matched so I bought the same one I opened. :) There are a lot of colors to choose from so you may want to take your current foundation and try to match it that way, too.
DeleteI have been eyeballing that shampoo and conditioner! I may have to give it a go now.. I am suuuuuuch a cheapskate when it comes to clothes/makeup... I would also rather buy house/yard stuff any day! Thanks for these tidbits!!! :)
ReplyDeleteOk. So I'm in desperate need of a new foundation. I'm trying this Revlon Colorstay. You best not be wrong, girlfriend! :)
ReplyDeleteI would never stear you in the wrong direction, honey child!! I am SO in love with it. No lie.
DeleteI love the Sauve leave in conditioner, I think I must be on my 4th or 5th bottle! Great list!
ReplyDeleteThat Elf cream eyeliner is THE BEST! love that stuff. can't wait to read all about the blogger bash that's about to go down! ;)
ReplyDeleteI blogged about my beauty favorites on a budget. Totally read each other's minds :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the Suave love! I've been looking for new hair products, especially a new dry shampoo. I am OBSESSED with their mega-hold hair spray, it leaves my hair in place without being sticky or rock hard. And YES to baby lips :) My faaaave! Can't wait to hear about your weekend! xoxox
ReplyDeleteOK I think I need to try that foundation! I am still spending $40 each time and not loving the one I use as much as I used to! Thanks for sharing, I am totally with you on this one... there was a day that I walked through cosmetics at Nordstrom and bought tons of products. Now days, Target is just fine with me!
ReplyDeletelooove me some elf! especially the cream eyeliner!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad that the Colorstay is working out great for you! I have been shouting it out to the mountain tops for years I just love it that much!! LOL. I went back to the liquid after using the whipped creme and I think the liquid is better for oily skin. And the elf cream liner is seriously just as good as mac fluidline.
ReplyDeleteI really need to try the Baby Lips... I get the worst chapped lips..who wants to kiss that nastiness?? Probably my puppy is the only one that loves those kisses haha.
ReplyDeleteSuave has really stepped up their game! I love their products. They've got the BEST mousse for curly hair!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE baby lips!!
ReplyDeleteI also LOVE the maybelline lash growing eyeliner!! I don't know if it really "grows" but the eyeliner its self is AWESOME!! Great for a smoky eye look and great for lining the inside of you eye!! It is on the "softer side" though so when you use a sharpener you ahve to be careful but I seriously LOVE it!!
I hae to ask, what application or site do you use to make these collages?
I hope your sis-in law keeps those babies in!! Having 1 preemie is awful, I can't imagine having 3!! Your family will be in my thoughts!!
Have a great weekend!! I'll be keeping up with you ladies on IG!!
I've totally been considering trying that shampoo so now I'm definitely going to have to! I need to pick up that dry shampoo as well. I use that foundation already and I absolutely L.O.V.E. it. I do not spend tons of money on beauty stuff, so this post was perfect for me!
ReplyDeleteYou are offically my hero. I never knew about pathenol causing acne and come to find out, my shampoos and my face wash both have it in it! Thank you so much for posting this!
ReplyDeleteLoveeee so many of these.. I'm all about some drugstore make-up!!
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely me! I can't believe I used to spend $25 on blush from MAC when honestly, my cover girl plum plush is WAY better and longer lasting. I even wait for a $1 off coupon so I can score it for $3! And I am all about Suave shampoo too.. I think it's a load of crock spending $15 on shampoo!
ReplyDeleteI've been using Revlon Colorstay Foundation for....uh, about a bottle and a half now, and I LOOOOOVE it. Nothing has worked quite as well.
ReplyDeleteHey! Just wanted to let you know that i absolutley love your blog! I am a new home owner too and believe me all of your money will be going towards the house and home decor for a very very long time! funny how priorities change. Good luck with the new house!xoxo
ReplyDeleteWell....I think I checked off about half of these things from the list. Haha. Goodness. I LOVE that suave shampoo. I remember trying it for the first time and wondering how my hairs lived without it. And the foundation? I accidentally bought one about 5 shades too light. I am so bad at this.
