I'm not a homemade salsa kinda girl. If it already comes premade in a jar, and is semi-healthy, there's absolutely no reason for me to make it. But this...THIS...stuff does NOT come premade in a jar and is DE-LISH and, therefore, I'll be making my own salsa from here on out.
I've made it a few times now using it as a dip at a party and even a salad dressing and found myself literally licking the spoon every single time. The best part: it's perfectly healthy...no sugar, yeast, vinegar or gluten.

Basically it's some good shizz and we don't ever doubt mah taste buds...mmmkay?
Here's what you'll need:
2 avocados | 1 jalapeño | 1/3 bunch cilantro | 1 garlic clove | 1 lb. tomatillos (peeled & quartered) | sea salt | pepper
Toss 'em all in your Ninja (or blender) in the following order (from bottom to top): tomatillos, jalapeño, cilantro, avocado, garlic, sea salt, pepper. The order is important because if you don't put the tomatillos at the bottom of your blender, the avocado could get stuck on the blades, causing it to stick and not blend well. Once everything is in your blender, give her a good whirl!
Chill for 30-45 minutes before serving & enjoy!
My mouth is watering just looking at it. No joke.
For those of you trying to keep your girlish figure (aka: 99.9% of us), I recommend a couple different chip options. Yes, ladies. This means no more tortilla chips!
Terra Chips (Original) & Lentil Chips (Sea Salt Flavor) - staples in my house
Both are ridiculously healthy, natural and not loaded with crap. Terra Chips are chips made of assorted roots (sweet potatoes, taro roots, etc) and the lentil chips are a clean blend of lentil flour, a little potato starch and sea salt. I've been eating these for, well, years now and can't even remember the last time I bought "real" chips. Just trust me on this one, would ya?
