How far along: 17 weeks
Baby size: An onion. How uncute is that?!
Weight gain: 5 pounds
Maternity clothes: Some. Thanks to my Bella Band, I'm still able to fit into all my pants, jeans and shorts and some shirts but I have a feeling 100% maternity clothes is right around the corner for this girl. My suit jackets for work are snug...and some of my fitted shirts are just not cute anymore so I invested in a few solid maternity tees from Old Navy this weekend and will continue to be on the mad hunt for more perfect maxis.
Stretch marks: No and I pray they stay away! I read this is the time they can start to appear...
Sleep: Yes. Although I sleep really well through the night, I feel like I literally wake up every hour ON the hour to go pee. It's probably the most annoying thing ever.
Gender: No but this time next week, WE'LL KNOW!!! I officially handed over "the envelope" to my girlfriends, Brooke and Ashley, and am SO anxious knowing that they know and I don't!! Talk about cruel and unusual punishment!
Movement: Yes! Not a ton, but a little kick here and there and a squirm one time, which was pretty darn cool feeling!
Best moment this week: Giving my friends the envelope with baby's gender in it in preparation for this weekend's gender reveal party! I feel like time is going by so fast!! I mean, I feel like I just found out I was pregnant and here I am, preparing for our gender reveal!
Looking forward to: Katie coming into town (YAY!!!) AND...finding out what this little nugget of ours is!!!
Food cravings: Nothing out of the ordinary...you know...pickles, SPK's and green grapes.
Weirdest food I ate this week: I'm happy to say I didn't eat anything weird this week! Unless you consider spicy pickles weird...
Anything making you queasy or sick: Negative ghostwriter. And I'm still very thankful for that.
Labor signs: N.O.
What I miss: Sleeping soundly without waking up every friggin' hour to pee.
Symptoms: Intermittent headaches and frequent freaking urination. Seriously...it's obnoxious. I feel like I can't get anything done because every time I actually sit down to do something, I have to get up and run to the bathroom. Oh-and I feel like a hungry, hungry hippo every hour of the day.
Workouts: Same ol', same ol'! 20-30 minutes of walking uphill on a treadmill, followed by 20-30 minutes of strength training twice per week.
Things that suck: Maternity shorts. Seriously gag me with a spoon. I tried more on and still...I look like...I don't even know what?? I think it's because I'm semi-short torsoed...either way...I've yet to find a pair that look remotely decent.
Things that don't suck: Taking this week's bump date picture outside and not having to update that stupid chalkboard. Feeling my little squirmy worm inside my belly every once in a while. Knowing that in 4 short days I will FINALLY be able to: pin the heck outta baby boy or girl stuff, buy pink or blue baby stuff, and officially envision our lives with a little boy or a little girl!
You are seriously the cutest little pregnant lady :) I'm so excited for the gender reveal - can't wait to see recaps from the reveal party too!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! Can't wait for the gender reveal :)
ReplyDeleteThe spicy pickles you speak of.. would they happen to be "Wickles"? If not, get yourself some!
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome and I LOVE the outdoor photo! :-) I was cracking up last week when you were venting about the chalkboard b/c I feel the same way about weekly bump photos... finding the perfect timing when you look good and have a photographer gets to be annoying! I'm a little over 23 weeks now and literally "popped" a few days after my week 17 photo sesh... I swear I went from tightish normal clothes to all of the sudden needing a whole new wardrobe - but my goodness, maternity pants feel so great! So excited for your gender reveal this weekend! PS - you should bring SPD back and do cute baby projects - perhaps it'll motivate me to tack some things I've been wanting to do! :-) <3 Mosey wwww.moseyprose.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteYou are a doll. I'm trying not to hate you for only 5 lbs (I know it prob. doesn't feel like "only" to you). So excited for you both this weekend! I can't wait!! :)
ReplyDeleteSo I am right there with you for the maternity shorts, I wore my normal shorts (low cut ones) with a button extender the entire time. Maternity shorts seemed to be MAJOR grandma (cant call em mom, bc i am one and i would NEVER wear them) shorts and ugly. But I did buy one pair of bermuda shorts with a full panel from old navy. So good luck on your hunt.
ReplyDeleteCheck out that sweet little bump starting to reveal his/her self! You look just darling and I can't wait to hear what you're having :-)
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! So excited to find out what you're having!
ReplyDeleteSpicy pickles are NOT weird! But now I would like a spicy pickle... Also, I vote it's a girl! What do you feel like it is? Any instinct?
ReplyDeleteTeam blue all the way!
ReplyDeleteLooking great, mama!! I CANNOT wait to find out what you're having, too!! I'm having uneasy thoughts about putting on maternity shorts, as well, simply because my legs love to display an atrocious amount cellulite the moment I get pregnant. #keepinitreal Cheers to dresses this summer!
ReplyDeleteYou look sooo cute!! Loving how the bump is coming out!! Excited for you for this weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome! Also, super jealous it's shorts weather where you are :) I can't wait to see your gender reveal party, I'm sure it's going to be adorable!
ReplyDeleteI want spicy pickles now... yum.... You look great!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! Can't wait for this weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteI mean for you to find out and then post hopefully soon lol I didn't mean to sound creepy like I am going to be there!!
ReplyDeleteWas excited to read this post once home from work. Apparently I can't read your blog at work any more. The dumb interwebs at work think your
ReplyDeleteblog contains pornography..... :( Thinking the hump part in the title. :(
Any who can't wait to find out the gender. I think little mister.
I can't believe you are already 17 weeks! I can't wait to find out if you are having me a little niece or nephew!
ReplyDeleteI am going to be stalking your IG for the gender reveal!!! EEEEEEEK! I am so crazy excited for you guys!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for the Gender Reveal :)
ReplyDeleteYou're adorable!
ReplyDeleteHi Stephanie. I have been reading your blog a long time and just love you! Congrats on the baby. :) I have never commented before but wanted to tell you that the drawstring waistband shorts (not maternity) at Old Navy are THE WAY to go when prego. I had my son in July last year, so I thoroughly enjoyed the maxi trend too. I haven't looked to see if they still have those shorts this year, but I had a pair in every color last year and wore them until I had him. They were very forgiving. :) Good luck and enjoy every moment! I can't wait to read you gender reveal!!
